Terms and Conditions for Membership in the Democracy Defenders Club (DDC)

Mission Statement

The Democracy Defenders Club champions the cause of democracy globally, with a strategic focus on mobilizing support, enhancing policy advocacy, and ensuring effective interventions in battleground states.

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") provide a framework for membership in the Democracy Defenders Club ("DDC"), a donor program managed by Action for Democracy ("A4D"). By becoming a member of DDC, you acknowledge these Terms without creating any binding obligations for A4D.

2. Membership Requirements

Members are expected to fulfill the donation commitments and any other obligations communicated at the time of joining. Membership is contingent upon meeting these requirements, which may vary based on the evolving needs of DDC.

3. Membership Benefits

Members of the DDC are eligible for various benefits, products, and services provided by A4D, subject to availability and change. These benefits include but are not limited to:

Merchandise
Regular newsletters detailing the work and impact of A4D
Participation in certain strategic decisions of A4D
Access to networking opportunities with other members
Invitations to exclusive events, both online and in-person
Monthly briefings and field reports

The specific nature and availability of these benefits may vary and are subject to change at the discretion of A4D. Opportunities for benefits are communicated to members via email, utilizing email addresses shared by the members.

4. Membership Obligations

By becoming a member of the DDC, members are encouraged to support A4D's mission to the best of their ability, including but not limited to:

• Fulfilling donation requirements specified at the time of membership enrollment.
• Participating in activities and initiatives as requested by A4D.
• Respecting the privacy and confidentiality of other members and A4D’s internal processes.

These obligations are intended to foster collaboration and engagement within the DDC community.

5. Termination of Membership

A4D respects members' autonomy and acknowledges that circumstances may change. Therefore, members have the option to terminate their membership at any time. This process is managed in line with our data privacy policy, ensuring the protection of members' personal information.

A4D also reserves the right to terminate any membership at its discretion, including but not limited to:

• Failure to meet donation requirements.
• Violation of these Terms and Conditions.
• Conduct that may harm A4D’s reputation or mission.

Termination by either party will take effect at the end of the current membership period. Members who voluntarily terminate their membership are encouraged to review our data privacy policy for information on how their personal data will be handled following termination.

6. Amendments to Terms

A4D may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be informed of significant changes, and continued membership constitutes acknowledgment of the amended Terms.
